ABOUT

Athena is a LA-based Story Artist who grew up glued to 2010s cartoons, whether it was reading comics or the latest episode of a TV show. Their love of versatile visual storytelling influenced their decision to attend college at the University of California, Santa Cruz, focusing on Art Production in video games and graduating with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science: Game Design. Athena was (and continues to be) drawn to creating character driven stories with impactful narrative and seeking out the real-life experiences that bleed into art.

Post-grad, Athena continued working on contract animation gigs before looking to grow their connections to the animation community. Currently, Athena serves as an online moderator for Women in Animation, keeps busy with independent animation courses, and is gearing up to work as a Firefly for Lightbox this fall.
